The Squirrel and the Sunflower - Sketchbook Project 2012

The final installment and last story provided by my wonderful friend L. This is a true tale and I thoroughly enjoyed working on the images for this one. I used mainly inks and watercolours as well as throwing in the odd papercut.

Enjoy!

Bargains!

I adore charity and vintage shops and can spend hours searching for some treasure among the shelves and rails. My bargains so far... a framed embroidered owl picture and a copy of "The Hobbit", which I haven't read since I was 12 years old.

You're probably wondering why I picked a copy. Once I took a look inside I knew I had to take this bad boy home.

On the inside pages someone has lovingly made notes and must have completely immersed themselves into that world. It has been a long time since I've done that with a novel!

Here's a little picture of something I'm working on... will reveal details later on. Now enjoy the Sun people!
