I realised that I haven't posted all the pages from my sketchbook. These are the final pages and seeing them again is making me sad that I no longer possess it. Blooming Brilliant!

Been working on a baby shower invite for my best friend. Unfortunately I can only show you the first stage of the work as the final image has details of location, etc... Prefer to keep those personal as it's a private function.

I added gold paper to the wings and buds to give the image more life.

Printing crazy

Lately I have a real yearning to go back to what I used to love and that's print making! My friend Emily has been running Textile Design Evening classes which involve some print making. When she asked me along I jumped at the chance to go remember the media!

Here are some lino cuts I did for Chinese New Year and Valentine's day:

Here's a print of the Valentines one. It turned out better due to the thicker lines used.

Sometimes you forget how to manipulate a medium to produce the effects you want to achieve. I'm afraid it's gonna be a steep climb before I'm able to get back on the print horse again.
