Hooray for Huddersfield!

Oh Boy! The Bank Holidays have been and gone and I have been a busy bee! I spent a weekend visiting my sister up in Huddersfield. The dear girl is doing her final year in costume design and textiles and has been working crazy.

I love the way this sketch is growing out of the page

After a grand tour of her working space she took us into the town and onto the Market where bargains were to be had. I love the hustle and bustle of markets and always the electric collections people would sell. At this market there were lots of vintage goods, ranging from antiques, jewellery to clothing.

After many hours of hunting for bargains we decided it was time for high tea. Gorgeous tea ware and delicious tea with scrumptious food! I was sad when it was over!

A little surprise at the bottom of our teacup

An amazing work outside of the loos!

Found this saucy lady in the middle of the wall

Before I forget here is the evidence of the treasure I brought at the market. Nice little wooden sewing table and some fifties looking plates for 25 pence each!

Also some pictures of my sister's old school singer sewing machine. It's beautiful, don't you think?
